The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sent its largest aid shipment to Gaza as part of Operation Gallant Knight 3. The ship, which set sail on July 8, includes a total cargo of 5,340 tons, making it the biggest delivery in the ongoing humanitarian operation. The aid shipment consists of 4,750 tons of food items and 590 tons of shelter materials. This marks the fourth Emirati ship headed to Al Arish, Egypt, before being transported into Palestine.

The aid ship was visited by Khaleej Times before its departure, where they spoke with Abdullah Saeed Al-Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Red Crescent Branch. He expressed that this aid shipment is the largest one sent so far as part of Operation Gallant Knight 3 and will have a significant impact on supporting the Palestinian community during these challenging times. The essential supplies will be transported to Al Arish port in Egypt via the Suez Canal and then into Palestine.

The food items onboard the ship include staples like tea, cooking oil, macaroni, sugar, chickpeas, beans, tuna, salt, and lentils. The shelter materials consist of tents, women-specific bags with necessary items, children’s bags, blankets, mosquito nets, and water tanks. With a crew of 34 people, including the captain, the aid ship is expected to join the previous vessels that have already delivered vital assistance to the Palestinian people. The UAE remains committed to supporting the Palestinian people through various humanitarian initiatives.

Various charitable organizations, including the Red Crescent, Zayed Charitable Foundation, and Khalifa Foundation, have contributed to the aid shipment under the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In addition to the aid shipment, the UAE has launched initiatives as part of Operation Gallant Knight 3, such as establishing two field hospitals – one inside the Gaza Strip and another floating hospital off the coast of Al Arish city, along with five automatic bakeries to provide essential services to the community.

The UAE’s commitment to providing aid to Gaza reaffirms its solidarity with the Palestinian people and its ongoing efforts to support them during challenging times. The aid shipment, which is the largest in the Operation Gallant Knight 3 initiative, will provide essential relief to those in need. The support from various charitable organizations and the directives from the UAE President showcase the country’s dedication to humanitarian efforts in the region. Overall, the aid shipment aims to make a positive impact on the lives of the Palestinian community and provide much-needed assistance during these difficult times.
