The Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) in Qatar, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, recently met with the Qatari security force set to participate in securing the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Minister encouraged the force, comprised of leaders, experts, and security specialists, to utilize their skills and extensive experience to ensure the successful security of the event. He emphasized that Qatari national cadres have gained global recognition, especially following Qatar’s outstanding success in hosting various international events to the highest security standards.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the final preparations of the Qatari security force for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The leaders of the teams and specialized units provided detailed explanations of the specific tasks that the force will undertake according to the established plans and arrangements for their participation in the event. To prepare for their security mission at the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Qatari security forces completed a special training program that lasted three weeks. The training program included various courses, workshops, and case studies of real events and situations from previous Olympic Games hosted in France and other countries, providing valuable lessons for the Qatari security forces. The participation of the Qatari security forces in securing the Paris 2024 Olympics reflects the robust and growing strategic partnership between Qatar and France, particularly in the field of security.
