In September, Bahrain International Airport Welcomed 720,546 Passengers

The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) has recently released its statistics for Bahrain International Airport for September 2024, showing positive growth in both passenger and cargo activity. The airport saw a total of 720,546 passengers passing through, with 339,356 embarking passengers and 381,190 disembarking passengers. With a total of 8,478 flights recorded, including departures, arrivals, and overflying aircraft, it is evident that Bahrain is becoming a key transit point for international air travel.

In terms of cargo, the airport handled 31,938 tons in September 2024, with a balance of transshipment cargo, exports, and imports. The statistics indicate a healthy flow of goods, highlighting Bahrain’s importance as a regional trade hub. Additionally, there was significant passenger growth from key destinations compared to the previous year. Flights from India, Pakistan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia all saw notable increases in passenger numbers, showcasing the airport’s connectivity to various regions.

In August 2024, the airport handled a total of 884,074 passengers, with a larger number of disembarking passengers, demonstrating significant inbound and outbound travel activity. These statistics reflect the airport’s role as a major transportation hub in the region, attracting passengers from various countries and supporting trade activities. With continued growth in passenger and cargo traffic, Bahrain International Airport is poised to further strengthen its position as a key player in the aviation industry.

With robust passenger and cargo activity in September 2024, the airport saw over 720,000 passengers passing through, indicating sustained growth in air travel.
