University of Technology and Applied Sciences Hosts Student Activities Forum
The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Musandam recently organized a Student Activities Forum aimed at promoting student clubs, showcasing talents, and enhancing student participation in various university activities. This event, held on campus, was designed to foster leadership skills, creativity, and social development among students, channeling their energies and talents to build character and strengthen their sense of belonging to the university.
Attended by Dr. Gharib bin Ismail Al-Matrooshi, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the forum featured a poetry segment, experiences shared by outstanding students from external student trips, and a panel discussion titled “Student Creativity: From Idea to Impact.” Participants were able to explore different sections of the forum, which included scientific, cultural, literary, health, languages, debates, arts, media, photography, and scouting.
Encouraging Student Engagement
The forum provided a vibrant space for interaction and participation, blending enjoyable atmospheres with unforgettable moments. According to student Fadwa bint Mohammed Al-Kamzari, one of the highlights was the poetry presentation, which allowed her to perform in front of an audience. She expressed her enjoyment of the enthusiastic ambiance that filled the event.
Student Khalifa bin Ali Al-Shuhi emphasized the university council’s belief that students are essential partners in developing their academic environment. During the forum, the council set up an informational booth to introduce its role and committees, encouraging students to engage with the council and share their ideas and suggestions for improving campus life. The booth featured interactive segments that aimed to inspire students to express their thoughts and needs, along with a suggestion box for student proposals.

Mawza bint Younis Al-Kamzari highlighted the inspirational quality of the event, which provided a calming yet engaging atmosphere that left a lasting impression. She noted her participation in organizing the guidance and counseling section, themed “The Sea,” as one of her most enriching experiences. This role allowed her to contribute to the creation of an environment reflecting tranquility and depth, creatively addressing the concept of mental health while incorporating innovative ideas relevant to current trends.
The variety of sections at the forum successfully catered to diverse interests, supporting not just artistic expression but also personal development and community building among students.
