Five riders from the Royal Cavalry have qualified for the World Endurance Cup in France 2024

Five riders from the Royal Cavalry of Oman have qualified for the World Endurance Cup France 2024, where they will represent their country on the international stage. Hussein bin Ali Al-Farsi, riding the Royal Cavalry’s horse ‘Fanshdouh’, performed exceptionally well in the French “Compiegne” race, which was a 140 km race with participants from around the world. In addition to that, Hussein Al-Farsi also passed the stages of the French “Saumur” race, which was 160 km long, and qualified for the World Endurance Cup in France in September.

The riders who have qualified for the World Endurance Cup in France 2024 are: Mahmoud bin Marhoon Al-Fawri riding the horse “Dalila”, Hisham bin Saleh Al-Farsi riding the horse “Balxima”, Ahmed bin Salem Al-Hamdani riding the horse “Kasba” and Saleh bin Salem Al-Balushi riding the horse “Stik”. Dr. Sarhan bin Salem Al Zaidi, Director General of the Royal Cavalry, expressed his pride in the riders’ achievements and highlighted the continuous support from His Majesty the Sultan in promoting the name of Oman on the global equestrian stage.

Dr. Al Zaidi stated that the qualification for the World Endurance Cup in France 2024 is a significant achievement for the Royal Cavalry at an international level. He mentioned that a plan and goals were set by Royal Cavalry specialists to ensure qualification and competitiveness in the upcoming World Endurance Cup in France. The work plan for qualification began after the Abu Dhabi 2023 Endurance World Cup, which included participation and competition in various international races organised by the International Equestrian Federation in different countries.

The participation and success of the Omani riders in international races have been a result of meticulous planning and dedicated training. The riders have showcased their skills and determination in competitions around the world, with the support of the Royal Cavalry. The qualification for the World Endurance Cup in France 2024 is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the riders and their trainers.
