Deputy Shura Council Speaker Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support and patronage of Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani towards the Council. She highlighted the importance of popular participation in decision-making and praised the fruitful cooperation between the Council and the government. The third regular session of the Council was deemed successful, thanks to the diligent work of its members and committees.

HE Al Sulaiti emphasized the role of Qatari society as a partner of the Council in exercising its constitutional powers. She also mentioned the Council’s participation in various regional and international parliamentary events, particularly its support for the Palestinian cause. The Council has continuously called for solidarity with Palestine and urged parliaments to take concrete action to stop the aggression in Gaza.

Secretary-General Nayef bin Mohammed Al Mahmoud credited the success of the session to the support of the wise leadership and the cooperation of various parties. The General Secretariat worked diligently to provide technical and administrative support to Council members. Al Mahmoud also highlighted the importance of attracting and training national talents to meet the highest administrative standards and contribute to the country’s National Vision 2030.

Overall, the Shura Council’s third regular session was marked by achievements and positive outcomes, thanks to the strong cooperation between its members and government officials. The Council’s participation in regional and international events, as well as its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, reflect its commitment to justice and solidarity with oppressed peoples. The General Secretariat’s efforts to attract and train national talents further demonstrate its dedication to supporting the Council’s functions and national development goals.

By highlighting the successful cooperation between the Council, government, and society, HE Al Sulaiti and Al Mahmoud underscore the importance of collective efforts in achieving legislative and developmental objectives. The Council’s commitment to engaging with societal issues and advocating for just causes not only strengthens its role as a legislative body but also enhances its reputation as a responsible and responsive institution. As Qatar continues its progress towards Vision 2030, the Council’s dedication to excellence and inclusivity will be crucial in shaping the country’s future.
