Amir names ambassadors to Moldova and Ghana

The Amir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, recently made two key appointments to strengthen diplomatic relations with other countries. On September 1, 2024, the Amir issued Amiri Decision No. (63) of 2024 appointing Dr. Turki Abdullah Zaid Al Mahmoud as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Moldova. Additionally, the Amir issued Amiri Decision No. (64) of 2024 appointing Khaled Jabr Saif Jasser Al-Musallam as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Ghana. Both decisions were to be implemented immediately and published in the Official Gazette.

Dr. Turki Abdullah Zaid Al Mahmoud’s appointment as Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova demonstrates Qatar’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with countries around the world. As an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Dr. Al Mahmoud will represent Qatar in Moldova and work to enhance cooperation in various fields. His expertise and diplomatic skills will play a crucial role in promoting mutual understanding and collaboration between the two nations.

Likewise, Khaled Jabr Saif Jasser Al-Musallam’s appointment as Ambassador to the Republic of Ghana highlights Qatar’s ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic ties with African nations. As an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Al-Musallam will serve as Qatar’s representative in Ghana and work to strengthen bilateral relations. His appointment underscores Qatar’s commitment to engaging with countries across different continents and building partnerships for mutual benefit.

The issuance of these two Amiri Decisions reflects Qatar’s proactive approach to diplomacy and international relations.
