Kuwait recently hosted a groundbreaking event focused on a holistic approach to wellbeing, bringing together leaders and changemakers from across various sectors. Zain Kuwait’s pivotal partnership with the inaugural Hearth Kuwait 2025 Summit underscored a commitment to wellbeing that extends beyond the workplace, encompassing individual, organizational, environmental, and community health. This first-of-its-kind regional summit, organized by en.v in collaboration with The Wellbeing Project and hosted by the American University of Kuwait (AUK), signals a growing recognition of the interconnectedness of these elements in building a thriving society.

Zain Champions Wellbeing Through Strategic Partnerships

Zain’s involvement in the Hearth Kuwait Summit isn’t a standalone gesture. It’s a natural extension of the company’s deeply rooted ‘BE WELL’ initiative, launched in 2021. This pioneering program is designed to proactively support the mental health and overall wellbeing of Zain employees. Recognizing that a healthy workforce is a productive and engaged workforce, Zain developed ‘BE WELL’ in cooperation with leading experts to provide practical tools and professional support for stress management and fostering a positive workplace culture.

The company views employee wellbeing as “psychological capital” – a core asset that drives sustainable performance and innovation. ‘BE WELL’ actively works to normalize conversations around mental health, encouraging leadership and teams to prioritize mindfulness and self-care. Ultimately, the goal is to reduce burnout, absenteeism, and the detrimental effects of chronic stress.

Hearth Kuwait 2025: A Regional Platform for Holistic Health

The Hearth Kuwait 2025 Summit provided a crucial platform for expanding this conversation beyond Zain’s internal operations. Over 200 individuals – representing civil society, education, business, the arts, philanthropy, and public institutions – convened for three days of inspiring discussions, interactive workshops, and enriching cultural experiences.

The summit’s agenda centered on the vital role of wellbeing in creating resilient and sustainable communities. Participants explored innovative approaches to fostering a sense of connection, purpose, and balance in all aspects of life. This included examining the impact of environmental factors on mental and physical health, and the importance of social inclusion in building a supportive society.

Advancing Inclusion and Accessibility

Integral to Zain’s commitment to wellbeing is its dedication to Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE). The company is actively implementing its WE ABLE 2030 roadmap, aiming to create a truly inclusive workplace for everyone, including individuals with disabilities. This isn’t simply about meeting quotas; it’s about embedding accessibility principles into every facet of the employee experience – from recruitment and career development to workplace design.

Zain believes that inclusion isn’t just a moral imperative, but a strategic advantage. By fostering a diverse and equitable environment, the company unlocks innovation and strengthens its long-term sustainability.

Showcasing Zain’s Inclusive Programs at the Summit

The Hearth Kuwait 2025 Summit offered Zain a valuable opportunity to showcase its ongoing efforts in this area. Waad Al-Azmi, Inclusion and Accessibility Advocate at Zain Group, participated in a panel discussion, sharing her personal experiences working within Zain’s inclusive culture.

She powerfully emphasized the importance of psychological resilience, institutional support, and, crucially, a culture of listening, respect, and acceptance in enabling employees with disabilities to reach their full potential. Al-Azmi highlighted that genuine inclusion requires moving beyond superficial statements and translating principles into tangible, everyday practices.

Furthermore, Zain spotlighted its GROW program, a dedicated initiative designed to empower graduates with disabilities. This program provides a structured pathway to professional success, offering on-the-job training, mentorship, and capacity-building aligned with Zain’s business objectives. The GROW program is a practical demonstration of how organizations can actively discover and develop untapped talent within the disability community.

Join the GROW Program and Contribute to a Digital Future

Zain is currently inviting applications for the new cohort of the GROW program. Interested graduates with disabilities can find more information and apply via this link: https://zain.com/en/grow. This is a unique opportunity to embark on a holistic professional development journey, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the future of the digital economy.

A Commitment to Better Lives and Lasting Connections

Zain’s support for the Hearth Kuwait Summit reflects a broader commitment to initiatives that prioritize human wellbeing and connect mental health with social inclusion, innovation, and sustainable development. This aligns perfectly with the company’s core purpose: creating “Better Lives, Lasting Connections” for all. The summit, organized by en.v and The Wellbeing Project, represents a significant step towards building a more resilient, equitable, and thriving Kuwait – and Zain is proud to be a part of that journey. By fostering dialogue, learning, and collaboration, the Hearth Kuwait 2025 Summit has laid the groundwork for a future where wellbeing is not just a priority, but a fundamental pillar of society.
