Doha, Qatar – Pleasant weather is forecast for the weekend in Qatar, with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 20°C to a maximum of 28°C. The Qatar weather forecast, released by the Qatar Meteorology Department, indicates generally mild conditions across the country, offering a welcome respite as November draws to a close. While no major warnings have been issued, residents should be aware of potential visibility issues Saturday morning.

The forecast covers Friday, November 29th, and Saturday, November 30th, 2024, and applies to most areas including the capital, Doha, and popular destinations like Souq Waqif. The mild temperatures are expected to draw more people outdoors, potentially impacting traffic and activity at public spaces. The relatively calm seas will also likely encourage recreational boating and coastal activities.

Detailed Qatar Weather Forecast for the Weekend

The Qatar Meteorology Department anticipates misty to foggy conditions during the mornings of both days. This could lead to reduced horizontal visibility, particularly at the start of Saturday. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and use appropriate lighting during these periods.

Scattered clouds are expected throughout the weekend, contributing to partly sunny skies. However, the evenings will be noticeably cooler, with temperatures dropping to the lower end of the forecast range. This temperature variation is typical for this time of year in Qatar.

Wind and Sea Conditions

Winds will be predominantly northwesterly to northeasterly, blowing at speeds between 5 and 15 knots. These winds are not expected to be strong enough to cause significant disruption.

Wave heights are predicted to be between 2 and 5 feet for both Friday and Saturday. This suggests generally calm sea conditions suitable for various marine activities. The moderate waves are unlikely to pose a hazard to shipping or coastal infrastructure. The Doha weather specifically is expected to mirror these conditions.

Qatar’s climate is characterized by hot, humid summers and mild, dry winters. The transition period between seasons, like the current late November timeframe, often brings fluctuating conditions and increased humidity. The country experiences minimal rainfall annually, with most precipitation occurring during the winter months.

The current forecast is consistent with the typical weather patterns observed in Qatar during late November. The mild temperatures are a significant factor in the country’s appeal as a tourist destination during the winter season. This favorable weather also supports outdoor events and activities planned throughout the region. The temperature in Qatar is a key consideration for both residents and visitors.

The Qatar Meteorology Department continuously monitors weather conditions and provides updates as needed. Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay informed by checking the department’s official website and social media channels for the latest information. This is particularly important given the potential for localized fog and reduced visibility.

Looking ahead, the Qatar Meteorology Department indicates that the current mild weather pattern is expected to persist into the beginning of next week. However, there is some uncertainty regarding a potential shift in wind direction which could bring slightly cooler temperatures. Further updates will be issued as the forecast becomes more definitive, and monitoring for changes in the weather in Doha remains crucial.

The department will continue to issue daily reports, providing detailed information on temperature, wind speed, wave height, and visibility. These reports are essential for planning outdoor activities and ensuring safety during potentially hazardous conditions.

Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality is responsible for public safety announcements related to weather events.
