The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) in Doha, Qatar, has announced a temporary closure of southbound traffic on West Industrial Street from Street 15 to Street 33. This closure is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 12:00am to 10:00am in order to allow for the installation of signage. However, northbound traffic will not be affected by this closure.

In coordination with the General Traffic Department, alternative routes have been provided for road users during the closure. Drivers are advised to use Street 15 to Al Kassarat Street as an alternative route to reach their destinations. It is important for all road users to exercise caution, adhere to speed limits, and follow temporary traffic signs and instructions to ensure their safety during this period.

The temporary closure of southbound traffic on West Industrial Street is part of Ashghal’s ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure in Doha, Qatar. By carrying out necessary maintenance work and installations, Ashghal aims to enhance the safety and efficiency of the road network for all users. The cooperation of road users in following diversion routes and traffic instructions is crucial to minimizing disruptions and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic during the closure.

It is essential for road users in the affected area to plan their journeys in advance and allow for extra travel time during the temporary closure. By using alternative routes and following guidance from temporary traffic signs, drivers can avoid delays and reach their destinations safely. The Public Works Authority encourages all road users to stay informed about road closures and construction activities in order to make informed decisions while traveling in Doha.

As part of its commitment to providing high-quality infrastructure and services, Ashghal continues to carry out maintenance work and road improvements across Doha, Qatar. Temporary closures and diversions are necessary to facilitate these works and ensure the safety of road users and construction workers. By cooperating with authorities and following traffic regulations, drivers can contribute to the success of these projects and help create a better road network for the community.

In conclusion, the temporary closure of southbound traffic on West Industrial Street in Doha, Qatar, is a necessary measure to facilitate the installation of signage and improve road safety. Road users are advised to follow diversion routes, exercise caution, and adhere to temporary traffic signs and instructions during the closure. By working together and following guidelines from Ashghal and the General Traffic Department, drivers can help ensure a smooth flow of traffic and minimize disruptions during this period of maintenance work.
