In today’s fast-paced world, stress and emotional turmoil are common occurrences. Sometimes traditional coping methods may not be effective, requiring a unique outlet to relieve pent-up emotions. The Smash Room, co-founded by Ibrahim Abudyak and Hiba Balfaqih, provides a safe space for people in UAE to release stress by smashing objects to bits and pieces. The concept allows individuals to express themselves freely without the fear of guilt or repercussions. The idea behind The Smash Room stemmed from personal challenges faced by the co-founders, who found traditional coping methods ineffective.

The Smash Room offers a wide range of items for customers to smash, including TVs, glass items, and washing machines. The co-founders’ challenging personal experiences, such as coping with loss and unemployment, inspired the creation of The Smash Room. After witnessing the success of their first venture, the duo introduced The Smash Mobile, a mobile smash room that brings the therapeutic release of smashing directly to guests at any location. This innovative concept aims to make stress-relief more accessible and convenient for a wider audience across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, and Fujairah.

The mobile version of The Smash Room offers a customisable setup tailored to event themes or customer preferences. Safety remains a top priority, with all necessary safety measures in place to ensure a risk-free smashing experience for participants. Each customer is provided with protective gear, including helmets, gloves, and full-body suits, to prevent potential injuries from flying debris. The emotional and psychological benefits of smashing are evident, as visitors often leave feeling happier and more relaxed after engaging in the activity.

Participants can experience a sense of empowerment and control, which can be particularly beneficial for individuals seeking to regain a sense of relief and satisfaction. The adrenaline rush and unique experience of smashing items can promote mindfulness and help individuals temporarily alleviate worries. The mobile smash room can accommodate between 4 to 10 people simultaneously and is divided into two zones for gearing up with safety equipment and engaging in smashing activities. Overall, The Smash Room and The Smash Mobile offer a unique and effective way to relieve stress and unwind in a safe and controlled environment.
