UAE’s Pavilion at 2025 World Expo in Japan to be Inspired by Date Palm Trees and among the largest

The UAE pavilion at the Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, is set to be one of the largest country pavilions. The pavilion, inspired by date palm trees, will showcase traditional Emirati materials combined with Japanese wooden building techniques. The groundbreaking ceremony for the pavilion was led by UAE Ambassador to Japan Shihab Al Faheem. The pavilion aims to demonstrate the mindful use of resources and preservation of the environment, inspired by the UAE’s heritage and culture.

Expo 2025 Osaka will run from April 13 to October 13 next year under the theme ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’. The sub-themes include ‘Saving Lives’, ‘Empowering Lives’, and ‘Connecting Lives’. The UAE pavilion is located in the ‘Empowering Lives’ zone, in close proximity to the host Japan Pavilion. The pavilion aims to bring together people and innovations to address global challenges through multi-sensory experiences, storytelling, content curation, and programming.

The UAE pavilion will showcase stories of people, projects, and ideas from across the UAE in response to the core theme of the Expo. UAE Minister of State, Noura Al Kaabi, highlighted the importance of collaboration and working towards a sustainable future for all. She emphasized the UAE’s commitment to global solutions and shaping a sustainable future for generations to come. The Expo provides a platform for countries to come together, share ideas, and work towards a common goal of improving lives and creating a sustainable future.

The UAE pavilion at Expo 2025 is a representation of the country’s rich heritage and commitment to sustainability. The pavilion’s design, inspired by date palm trees, showcases a blend of Emirati and Japanese building techniques.
