4 young men killed in accident as car falls off bridge in Sharjah, UAE

Four young men tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Sharjah early Friday morning. Three of the passengers died at the scene due to suffocation as they were unable to open the car doors, while the fourth passenger succumbed to his severe injuries the following morning at Al Qassimi Hospital. The victims, three Syrians and an Egyptian in their twenties, were heading towards the government district in Al Layyah when the driver lost control due to excessive speed. The car struck a barrier and fell into the water behind Souq Al Jubail.

The Sharjah Police Operations Room received a report of the accident at 2:45 am, prompting emergency response teams, including police patrols, Civil Defense rescue units, and National Ambulance crews, to rush to the scene. Despite their efforts, the tragic incident resulted in the loss of four young lives. The Sharjah Police General Command expressed their deepest condolences to the families of the victims and emphasized the importance of adhering to speed limits and traffic regulations to ensure safety on both internal and external roads.
