The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) recently announced penalties against 23 employers for violating domestic workers’ regulations. These penalties included fines and recruitment bans for offenses such as providing domestic labor services to third parties, allowing workers to work independently, and assigning them tasks not agreed upon. Additionally, nine recruitment offices had their licenses suspended for failing to comply with recruitment rules, including not refunding clients’ money and not resolving complaints. The MHRSD stated that these actions were part of ongoing efforts to monitor and regulate the recruitment sector to protect employers’ rights and improve services through the Musaned platform.

Efforts to enhance the recruitment sector and provide quality services are ongoing, according to the MHRSD. The ministry aims to improve services for individuals, develop mechanisms for handling complaints and disputes between parties in contractual relationships, and ensure adherence to recruitment regulations. To report any violations related to the recruitment sector, individuals can call 920002866 or use the Musaned application on their smartphones. By enforcing penalties and suspensions, the MHRSD hopes to maintain a fair and transparent recruitment sector that upholds regulations and respects the rights of domestic workers and employers.
