The National Center of Meteorology has issued red and yellow alerts in various parts of the UAE today, warning residents of reduced visibility until 9 am on Wednesday. The lowered visibility is expected to be more prominent in coastal and internal areas, prompting the Abu Dhabi Police to urge motorists to exercise caution while driving. Changing speed limits displayed on electronic boards should be followed to ensure safety on the roads. The authority has also decided to reduce the speed limit to 80km/h on certain roads in Abu Dhabi.

According to the forecast by the NCM, the weather is expected to be fair in general today, with partly cloudy skies at times. Clouds are likely to appear eastward and may become convective by the afternoon. Humid conditions are anticipated during the night and Thursday morning, with a chance of fog or mist formation over coastal and internal areas, especially westward. Light to moderate winds are expected, occasionally freshening up. The sea is expected to be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.

Temperatures are set to range from a low of 25°C in mountainous areas to a high of 49°C in internal areas. Humidity levels are expected to peak at 90% in some parts of the UAE. Residents are advised to stay updated on the latest developments by tuning in to news channels such as KT’s WhatsApp Channels. It is essential to stay informed about weather conditions to ensure preparedness and safety during changing weather patterns.

With the issuance of red and yellow alerts in the UAE today, it is crucial for residents to take necessary precautions and be aware of the potential risks associated with reduced visibility. The Abu Dhabi Police’s call for caution while driving and the authorities’ decision to reduce speed limits indicate the seriousness of the weather conditions. Compliance with these safety measures is imperative to avoid accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow on the roads.

The weather forecast for today includes fair conditions with partly cloudy skies and a chance of convective clouds in the afternoon. Humid conditions are expected during the night and Thursday morning, potentially leading to fog or mist formation in some areas. Light to moderate winds are expected throughout the day, with occasional freshening up. The sea is expected to be calm, offering a safe environment for maritime activities.

Temperature variations from 25°C in mountainous areas to 49°C in internal regions highlight the diverse climate across the UAE.
