The UAE authorities have taken steps to ensure that the visa amnesty program is seamless and hassle-free. At the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) tent in Al Awir, overstayers are experiencing speedy resolution of their residency status with many cases being resolved within minutes. Numerous individuals have praised the efficiency of the amnesty initiative, citing their own experiences where their immigration issues were rectified swiftly.

For instance, Hassan Sabuni, a Ugandan national who had been residing in the UAE illegally for two years, had his visa status changed and penalties waived off within minutes at the amnesty tent. He entered the tent as an illegal resident and was greeted by helpful officers who guided him through the process, saved his fingerprints in the system, and cleared all his fines. Sabuni expressed his gratitude to the UAE authorities for the initiative, allowing him to return home without any hassle.

Thousands of overstayers are taking advantage of the GDRFA tent to regularize their status, with many expressing joy and relief at the swift resolution of their immigration issues. Shahbaz Alam, a Pakistani expat, had his status regularized in just 15 minutes, spending only 12 minutes waiting due to the rush. He commended the GDRFA staff for their assistance and the comfortable environment of the air-conditioned tents, which provided free drinking water and juices for the applicants.

The GDRFA made separate arrangements for female and male residents at the amnesty tent, providing large, air-conditioned tents with ample seating and a comfortable environment. Maria, a Filipina amnesty seeker, was impressed by the comfortable accommodations and the helpful staff at the tent. She was regularized quickly and expressed her gratitude to the GDRFA for the opportunity to stay in the UAE without any worries by obtaining a visa. The staff’s kindness and patience in explaining the process clearly made the experience much easier for her.

Overall, the visa amnesty program at the GDRFA tent in Al Awir has been a success, with many overstayers having their immigration issues resolved quickly and efficiently. The helpful staff, comfortable environment, and swift resolution of cases have been commended by individuals seeking to regularize their status. This initiative by the UAE authorities has provided a valuable opportunity for those who have overstayed their visas to rectify their status and continue their stay in the country legally. The GDRFA’s efforts to streamline the process and provide a comfortable experience for applicants have been instrumental in making the program a success.
