The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has announced the details of the fifth edition of Riyadh Season 2024, which is set to begin on October 12. GEA Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh revealed that the new edition will feature 14 entertainment areas, 11 world championships, 10 festivals, and exhibitions. The season will cover a total area of 7.2 million square meters, with 4,200 contracts and 2,100 companies, of which 95% are local. One of the new zones within the season is called The Venue Zone, offering a range of events in a unique area. The season will also include the Riyadh Season Tennis Cup event, as well as the opening of a new zone named “Boulevard Runway” in partnership with Saudi Airlines.

Al-Sheikh highlighted the importance of the new season, which will showcase various events and activities to cater to visitors of all ages. The Boulevard City area will host 70% of the events, including the Joy Awards ceremony and a display of one of the largest real dinosaur models. Winter Garden, another popular area, will provide a range of experiences in a half a million square meter space. Additionally, free areas such as the zoo and Suwaidi area, focusing on 9 different cultures, will offer unique experiences, shows, and theaters for visitors. Al Awalen market will also provide an immersive experience of Saudi regions, identities, and popular foods.

The GEA also revealed efforts to combat the “black market” in ticket sales, with the establishment of a special team within the WeBook application. The market has analyzed over 3 million transactions to identify and block 13,000 tickets and 5,000 suspicious accounts, as well as disabling 8 black market platforms. A day will be dedicated to children of martyrs and orphans, offering free access to Riyadh Season events. Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets exclusively through the official WeBook platform to prevent the purchase of fake tickets from unofficial sources.

The previous edition of Riyadh Season successfully implemented measures to prevent fake tickets at the entrances of zones and events, demonstrating the authority’s commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. New features for the upcoming season include subscription packages for comprehensive experiences, an online store for the WeBook platform, and improvements to the ticket purchasing process. The announcement of Riyadh Season packages, including Silver, Black, and Diamond packages, aims to enhance the user experience and offer a wide range of entertainment options for attendees. Riyadh Season continues to establish itself as a premier entertainment event, making Riyadh a top destination for global entertainment diversity.
