The Sultanate of Oman is showcasing its tourism industry at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 in Dubai. The theme of this year’s event is “Empowering Innovation – Transforming Travel through Entrepreneurship”. Azzan Qassim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, is leading Oman’s delegation at the 4-day event. The country is represented by 36 establishments from both the government and private sectors, including small and medium enterprises.

Oman’s participation in ATM 2024 is focused on exploring the latest developments in the travel and tourism industry. It provides an opportunity to connect with international companies and institutions to increase tourist numbers in Oman. A press conference was held during the event to outline the activities of the upcoming Dhofar Khareef (monsoon season) 2024. The event is set to last for 90 days from 20 June to 20 September 2024 and will feature international events, including the First Dhofar International Theatre Festival.

The Dhofar Municipality plans to rotate events at its sites rather than repeat them for more than two years. Atteen Square will continue to be a focal point for tourism events. The Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at the exhibition features various organizations and companies, including Dhofar Municipality, Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran), Oman Airports Company, and the national travel operator VisitOman. Products from Oman Botanical Garden, Oman Across the Ages Museum, the National Museum, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Musandam Governorate, and other tourism and hotel establishments are also showcased at the pavilion.
