A group of preachers from Russia recently participated in a month-long training course at the Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre in Doha. The course, which ran from July 28 to August 26, aimed to enhance the preachers’ capabilities in areas such as introducing Islam, teaching the Arabic language, and spreading Islamic culture. The programme included a series of lessons, lectures, and workshops focusing on linguistic, legal, and advocacy aspects to equip the preachers with new skills and experiences.

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs organized the training course as part of its efforts to build close Islamic relations with Muslims around the world and promote cultural and religious exchange at the international level. By hosting preachers from Russia and qualifying them in various aspects of Islam and the Arabic language, the ministry aims to strengthen the dissemination of Islamic values and promote the tolerant message of Islam.

Through the course, non-Arab preachers had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the Arabic language, the language of the Holy Quran, and Islamic sciences. This knowledge will enable them to better understand and share the rich Islamic heritage with their Muslim communities. Additionally, the exchange of experiences between local and guest preachers helps broaden their understanding of Muslim societies and improves their ability to effectively introduce Islamic teachings with legal knowledge and insight.

The training course at the Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre plays a crucial role in fostering Islamic relations and brotherhood among Muslims globally. The Centre’s efforts to enhance the capabilities of preachers through comprehensive and integrated education in Islam and the Arabic language have proven successful in previous training courses with students from Turkey and India. By providing intensive training and qualification courses in an Arab-Islamic cultural environment, the Centre enables preachers to interact directly and apply their learning practically.

Overall, the training course for preachers from Russia at the Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre reflects the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs’ commitment to promoting Islamic education and cultural exchange on an international scale. Through programs like this, preachers are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively introduce Islam, spread Islamic culture, and teach the Arabic language in a way that benefits Muslim communities worldwide. The Centre’s dedication to enhancing the capabilities of preachers and expanding their horizons contributes to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Islamic values and principles.
