Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the repeated incursions by Israeli occupation forces and settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem on Tuesday, warning of the consequences of such violations of international law. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of respecting religious sanctity and called on the international community to take action to stop Israeli violations. The Israeli acts provoke the sentiments of millions of Muslims worldwide, especially in the midst of the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

Reports indicated that over 2,000 illegal Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex on Tuesday morning, with the protection of Israeli troops, to participate in a religious event. This action led to tensions with Palestinian Muslims present at the holy site, as the settlers conducted Talmudic religious rituals and waved Israeli flags. The entry of the settlers came in response to a call from extremist Jewish groups to commemorate Tisha B’Av, an annual Jewish fast day marking historical disasters.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the provocative actions of Israeli settlers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasizing the need to uphold international law and the historical status of Jerusalem. The ministry called on the international community to intervene and stop ongoing Israeli violations, which continue to provoke tensions and anger amongst Muslims worldwide. The violations also compound the already dire humanitarian situation in Palestine, further exacerbating the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The incursions by Israeli settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque complex triggered tensions with Palestinian Muslims present at the holy site, as the settlers conducted religious rituals and waved Israeli flags. The Israeli troops provided heavy protection to the settlers, who numbered more than 2,000 during the event. The entry of the settlers through the western Al-Mugharbah Gate, a common route for such incursions, further inflamed the situation and led to clashes with Palestinian worshippers.

The Jordan-run Islamic Endowments Department reported on the provocative actions of Israeli settlers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting that approximately 2,250 settlers toured the complex and engaged in Talmudic rituals. The settlers’ entry into the mosque complex was in response to a call from extremist Jewish groups to commemorate Tisha B’Av, an annual Jewish fast day that marks historical disasters. The waving of Israeli flags by the settlers while storming the mosque added fuel to the fire and heightened tensions in the region.

In conclusion, Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation of the repeated incursions by Israeli occupation forces and settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque highlights the country’s commitment to upholding international law and respecting religious sanctity. The actions of Israeli settlers in the mosque complex provoke anger and resentment among millions of Muslims worldwide, further exacerbating the already dire humanitarian situation in Palestine. The international community must intervene and take necessary steps to stop Israeli violations and uphold the historical status of Jerusalem, ensuring the protection of religious sites and the rights of the Palestinian people.
