The UAE has recently experienced a transformation in its landscapes and deserts, turning them into lush green paradises after record-breaking rainfall. This miraculous change has not only brought greenery to the once barren deserts but has also seen wildlife thriving in these rejuvenated grasslands. Off-road enthusiasts have observed a significant increase in vegetation growth in sabkhas, attracting a variety of animals and insects to the area.

Islam Soliman, an off-road enthusiast, noted the growth of baby gazelles and oryxes in areas like Al Qudra and Al Faqa in the Dubai Desert. The increased vegetation on the dunes has also helped stabilize the sand and reduce dust levels in surrounding areas. For many adventurers who frequent the rugged terrain of the UAE, this transformation has been a revelation, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience the desert in a whole new light.

Gaurav Khanna, Marketing manager at Carnity, expressed his astonishment at witnessing the deserts burst into life, describing the transformation as a remarkable experience. He believes that the green oasis that has emerged in the UAE is an extraordinary sight, offering 4×4 owners and adventure enthusiasts a chance to explore the desert in a completely different way. Frederic Nuyttens, another enthusiast, emphasized the dynamic nature of the UAE desert and the recent changes that have turned some areas into lush green lands.

Deepak Panchariya, an experienced off-roader, highlighted the UAE’s dedication to ecological balance through cloud seeding projects and nature’s support as the reason behind the incredible transformation in the off-road scene. He believes that the expansive areas of the UAE now offer a unique driving experience through green landscapes, encountering desert wildlife, and marveling at clear dunes. Overall, the green transformation of the UAE’s deserts has brought a new perspective to off-road adventuring, showcasing the beauty and diversity of the region’s natural landscapes.
