QSFA to Host 2nd Al Wakrah Challenge Race in September

The second edition of the Al Wakrah Challenge Race 2024 is set to take place on September 30 in Al Wakrah, Qatar, with 500 competitors expected to participate. This race is a part of the desert race series in the country and is open to all individuals aged 3 and above, including both men and women. The race will feature distances of 800 meters, 3km, 5km, and 10 km, providing options for participants of all fitness levels. The event was announced during a press conference held by the Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA) at Lusail Sports Hall.

The Al Wakrah Challenge Race is unique as it is the first evening race to be held in Al Wakrah as part of the Qatar Trail Series. This series is a part of the desert race series in Qatar, which aims to attract competitors to explore protected areas and enjoy a thrilling atmosphere filled with excitement and challenge. Abdullah Al Dosari, head of events and activities at QSFA, highlighted that the race offers a great opportunity for individuals to engage in sports and embrace a healthy lifestyle.

Participants interested in joining the race can register through the QSFA application, which aims to promote wider sports participation in society and encourage the adoption of sports as a way of life.
