Qatar’s ambassador attended a meeting of GCC leaders with GCC envoys and representatives to Sweden.

During the meeting, HE Jassim Mohammed Al Budawi, Secretary-General of the GCC, reiterated the commitment of the Gulf countries to promoting peace, security, and stability in the region. The Ambassadors discussed the current political situation in the Gulf region and the challenges facing the GCC countries. They also emphasized the need for unity and solidarity among GCC countries to address common challenges and achieve mutual goals.

The Ambassadors also discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation between the GCC and Nordic countries, including trade and investment opportunities. They highlighted the potential for collaboration in various sectors, such as technology, renewable energy, and healthcare. The Ambassadors expressed their commitment to promoting bilateral trade and investment to benefit both regions.

The meeting also focused on cultural and educational exchanges between the GCC and Nordic countries. The Ambassadors emphasized the importance of promoting cultural understanding and mutual respect through various initiatives, such as student exchange programs and cultural events. HE Nadia bint Ahmed Al Shaibi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sweden, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to host the meeting at the Embassy of Qatar in Stockholm. She highlighted the strong ties between Qatar and the GCC countries and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting joint Gulf action and promoting cooperation with the Nordic countries. Ambassador Al Shaibi emphasized the importance of diplomacy in building bridges between nations and fostering mutual understanding.
