Qatari Ambassador participates in meeting between UN Special Advocate and Costa Rican Foreign Minister

UN Special Advocate for the Prevention of Corruption, H E Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, recently met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Costa Rica, H E Arnoldo Andre Tinoco, during his visit to San Jose, Costa Rica. The meeting was attended by several officials from the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Costa Rica. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss avenues for cooperation in the field of anti-corruption, with a particular emphasis on organizing international activities to support the efforts of the United Nations in combatting corruption.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the importance of leveraging the mechanisms outlined in the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) to strengthen international efforts in the fight against corruption.
