Qatar presides over GCC Permanent Committee of Legislative Departments

The 27th meeting of the GCC Permanent Committee of Legislative Departments was chaired by the State of Qatar in Doha. Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Buainain, the Director of the Legislative Department at the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, presided over the meeting. Delegations from the GCC countries gathered to discuss various draft unified regulations and laws, the GCC legislative vision, and the outcomes of the first meeting of the working group concerned with compiling principles of legislation issued by the GCC legislative departments.

Al Buainain welcomed the participating delegations and emphasized the importance of the meeting in enhancing joint GCC legislative cooperation. He applauded the committee’s efforts in enriching legislative work and resulting in the adoption and issuance of unified GCC legislations. The meeting aimed to showcase the collaborative efforts of the GCC countries in developing and implementing unified regulations and laws.

The discussions at the meeting focused on enhancing legislative cooperation among the GCC countries and strengthening the legislative framework in the region. The delegates brainstormed ways to improve the legislative process and ensure the effective implementation of unified laws and regulations.
