UAE consumers now have a new way to maximize rewards on everyday spending with the launch of the ADNOC Rewards credit card. First Abu Bank (FAB), ADNOC Distribution, and Mastercard have partnered to offer cardholders up to 15% value back on fuel, car care, and convenience store purchases at ADNOC stations, alongside benefits on travel, shopping, and more. The card aims to capitalize on growing demand for loyalty programs and seamless mobility solutions in the region.

The new credit card, available immediately, is designed to integrate rewards directly into daily routines. It offers tiered benefits, including automatic ADNOC Rewards Gold Tier status, and allows points redemption through the ADNOC App for a wide range of services and products. This collaboration represents a significant expansion of the ADNOC Rewards program, which already boasts over 2.5 million members.

Maximizing Rewards with the New ADNOC Rewards Credit Card

The core benefit of the ADNOC Rewards credit card lies in its enhanced rewards structure for common expenses. Cardholders will receive 15% value back on fuel purchases, car care services, and items bought at Oasis by ADNOC convenience stores. This is particularly appealing given ADNOC’s extensive network across the UAE. Additionally, the card provides 3% value back on parking and toll payments, and 1% on domestic shopping, including groceries.

Benefits Beyond Fuel and Groceries

The rewards aren’t limited to everyday necessities. The card offers 2% value back on all international spending at Mastercard-accepting merchants. Furthermore, as a World Mastercard, it includes travel insurance, airport lounge access, and access to exclusive experiences through priceless.com. Discounts are also available on hotels, car rentals, Carrefour online purchases, Talabat deliveries, and Shahid VIP subscriptions.

According to FAB, the partnership combines their financial expertise with ADNOC’s retail reach and Mastercard’s global network. Futoon Hamdan Al Mazrouei, Group Head of Personal, Wealth, Business Banking and Privileged Client Group at FAB, stated the card is “more than just a payment tool; it’s a platform for everyday value.”

Growing Demand for Loyalty and Mobility Solutions

The launch of this credit card comes as demand for robust loyalty programs and integrated mobility solutions continues to rise in the UAE. ADNOC Rewards has seen 17% year-on-year growth, demonstrating the popularity of its existing platform. The program allows users to redeem points for fuel, electric vehicle charging via E2GO, Oasis products, and essential car services.

J.K. Khalil, EVP and Division President for East Arabia at Mastercard, highlighted the company’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience through strategic collaborations. He described the launch as a “new milestone” in their relationship with FAB. The partnership also allows users to convert points with other major loyalty programs, including e& Smiles, Shukran, and Etihad Guest Miles, increasing flexibility and convenience.

However, the success of the card will depend on consumer adoption and the perceived value of the rewards compared to existing options. Competition in the UAE credit card market is fierce, with numerous banks offering rewards programs tailored to different spending habits. The integration with the ADNOC ecosystem is a key differentiator, but its long-term impact remains to be seen.

Looking ahead, the partners plan to continue expanding the benefits and features of the ADNOC Rewards program. Further integration with other mobility and lifestyle services is anticipated, potentially including partnerships with additional retailers and service providers. The next few months will be crucial in assessing the card’s uptake and identifying opportunities for refinement and growth, particularly as consumer spending patterns evolve in response to economic conditions.
