Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD) in Qatar is setting the standard for innovative design techniques that focus on sustainability in work and leisure environments. As the world’s first sustainably generated downtown, MDD integrates traditional practices with smart technology to create a space that celebrates culture, creativity, and sustainable living. Doha Design District Senior Concept Manager, Shaikha Al Sulaiti, emphasized the district’s commitment to pioneering design approaches during the opening of the second edition of TEFFA AI.R evolution at M7.

Al Sulaiti highlighted that MDD is redefining Doha’s historic business district by creating a space where ideas flourish and the community comes together to bring them to life. The district aims to engage people through design thinking, with initiatives targeting the younger generation, such as workshops on artificial intelligence (AI) and fashion design. Msheireb Properties Senior Director of Corporate Communications, Dr. Hafiz Ali Abdulla, emphasized the importance of the Doha Design District as a platform for bringing together innovators from around the globe and local creative minds from Qatar.

This year, TEFFA focuses on the potential of artificial intelligence and blockchain in fashion and design. The event includes workshops, insights from global leaders, and hands-on experiences exploring the implications of these technologies for education, finance, fashion, and art. Regional firsts at the event include the Middle East’s first-ever Fashathon competition, organized by Seamless Digital Fashion, and the showcase of the latest developments in AI fashion.

TEFFA Event Director and IDLink World Co-Founder CEO, Dea Baker, noted that the second edition of TEFFA has expanded significantly, with the number of speakers doubling and new topics introduced to the agenda. The event, running until May 8 at various locations in Msheireb Downtown Doha, offers something for everyone, from gaming to professional development. Baker highlighted the importance of communication, partnership, exchange of ideas, and learning new things in fostering innovation and launching new startups.

As a platform where creativity and cooperation are celebrated, Msheireb Downtown Doha looks forward to welcoming like-minded individuals to explore what’s next in sustainable design. With a focus on creating a space where ideas flourish and the community comes together to bring them to life, MDD is at the forefront of emerging design techniques. Through initiatives such as workshops on AI and fashion design, the district aims to engage people through design thinking and bring together innovators from around the globe.

TEFFA, an event focusing on the potential of artificial intelligence and blockchain in fashion and design, offers workshops, insights from global leaders, and hands-on experiences exploring the implications of these technologies for education, finance, fashion, and art. With regional firsts such as the Middle East’s first-ever Fashathon competition and showcases of AI fashion developments, TEFFA is an event that brings together professionals, students, artists, and creatives for three days of learning and networking.
