MP Hassan Ebrahim recently commended the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) for its innovative use of artificial intelligence to identify changes and building violations in the construction sector. This new system is seen as a significant step forward in overseeing construction projects and a key component of Bahrain’s digital transformation efforts. By enhancing transparency and efficiency, the system aims to ensure that legal standards are met and breaches are promptly addressed. Hassan believes that this technological advancement sets the stage for similar initiatives in other sectors, ultimately benefiting the public and streamlining government operations.

The introduction of AI in monitoring construction changes is viewed as a strategic move towards improving governance, reducing errors, and instilling public confidence in the services provided. This system not only facilitates early detection of violations but also paves the way for the adoption of AI in education, healthcare, government, private sector, and banking. According to Hassan, the implementation of AI technologies has the potential to revolutionize the delivery of government services by streamlining processes and saving time. This aligns with Bahrain’s vision for digital transformation and the modernization of government services, ultimately contributing to the goals outlined in Vision 2030, which prioritize innovation and sustainable growth.

Hassan emphasized the need to develop a workforce capable of managing AI systems by introducing AI as a specialization for secondary school graduates. By nurturing a skilled workforce equipped to handle the evolving technological landscape, Bahrain can ensure its readiness to adapt to global changes and capitalize on the opportunities presented by AI. The continuous monitoring of construction activities not only enhances regulatory compliance but also serves as a testament to Bahrain’s commitment to embracing new technologies for the betterment of society. By leveraging AI across various sectors, Bahrain can position itself as a leader in digital innovation and set the stage for continued progress in the years to come.

In conclusion, Hassan’s endorsement of the SLRB’s AI-driven system underscores the importance of leveraging technology to enhance governance and public services. By harnessing the power of AI to monitor construction projects, Bahrain is taking proactive steps towards building a more efficient and transparent regulatory framework. This initiative not only aligns with Bahrain’s overarching goals for digital transformation but also underscores the country’s commitment to embracing innovation and technology for sustainable growth. As Bahrain continues to pioneer the integration of AI technologies across different sectors, the potential for advancement and progress in the Kingdom remains promising.
