Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem recently laid the foundation stone of three endowment projects in Lusail, Al Maamoura, and Abu Hamour. The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Minister of Municipality H E Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah and Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti. The projects aim to enhance the investment endowment, achieve sustainable development, and improve the quality of life for the residents.

Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, highlighted the importance of these projects in meeting the needs of society and enhancing economic stability. The Jabal Thuaileb project, which includes 25 residential buildings with 881 apartments, is the largest endowment project in the country. It aims to provide an integrated residential environment and contribute to sustainable development. The Maamoura project combines an administrative building and a residential complex to create a work and housing environment, while the Abu Hamour project enhances commercial and administrative activity in the region.

Director of the General Department of Endowments Hassan bin Abdullah Al Marzouqi emphasized the contribution of these projects to enriching the real estate sector and supporting social projects. The Jabal Thuaileb project includes various facilities such as sports and health facilities, a mosque, and a centre for teaching the holy Quran to female students. The Al Maamoura project consists of an administrative office building, residential complex, and recreational and health club. The Abu Hamour project features shops, showrooms, administrative offices, and parking spaces to meet the needs of small and large companies.

These projects represent a significant step towards achieving the ministry’s goals in supporting religious and social values in society. The endowment projects are designed to meet the diverse needs of different segments of society and provide a comfortable living environment. The integration of traditional and modern Qatari style in the design of these projects reflects the cultural heritage of the region. The projects also aim to create new job opportunities, support the local economy, and contribute to social and economic development in Qatar.

Overall, the endowment projects in Lusail, Al Maamoura, and Abu Hamour demonstrate the commitment of the General Department of Endowments to developing projects that benefit society and honor the generous donors who contribute to these initiatives. By focusing on sustainable development, economic stability, and social values, these projects play a vital role in promoting a healthy and prosperous community in Qatar.
