Carla de la Vega’s transformative journey began in 2009 in Istanbul when she encountered a disturbing photo montage online that labelled her as a prostitute. This incident led her to realize the urgent need to empower herself and other women. Carla’s research into neuroscience and psychology revealed that most women struggle with self-doubt in their professional lives, with three-quarters facing confidence issues.

Motivated by her experience, Carla co-founded Bepow Media, a platform focused on helping women grow personally and professionally. Realizing that true progress required collaboration and inclusivity, Carla founded the International Women Empowerment Initiative (IWEI) to unlock women’s potential in the workplace. With a mission to promote diversity and empower organizations for better business results, IWEI offers an interactive e-learning platform to boost women’s confidence and professional growth.

Carla emphasizes the value of men’s support in women’s empowerment, highlighting the importance of allies in the workplace. IWEI provides rich video lessons, workbooks, and real-life stories to inspire and support women in their journey. By fostering a community that encourages interaction and learning, IWEI aims to create environments where women can thrive and contribute effectively at all levels.

Through collaborations with like-minded individuals and organizations, Carla aims to create more opportunities for women to excel in their careers. Notable examples include Peter Hoedemaker and Salvatore Maisano, who are dedicated to promoting inclusion and diversity in the corporate world. As a member of the G100, Carla is committed to advancing the global conversation on women’s empowerment and building a more equitable world for everyone.

Carla’s goal with IWEI is to cultivate women leaders of the future by providing engaging, data-backed content for their growth and development. She believes in listening to women’s voices, understanding their needs, and working together across genders and cultures to create a fairer and more inclusive society. Initiatives like IWEI can contribute to driving positive change in the UAE and the Middle East, where women’s participation and leadership roles are actively promoted.

Looking ahead, Carla envisions IWEI making a global impact, leveraging the unique perspectives and backgrounds of the Middle Eastern region for positive change worldwide. As a symbol of hope and strength, Carla inspires others to join her in creating a more empowered future. With a focus on empowering women and promoting diversity, Carla de la Vega’s initiatives aim to drive positive change and create a more inclusive society for future generations.
