The ‘Jood’ digital platform for charitable donations in Muscat has been a great success since its activation in October 2023, with a total of OMR2.136 million received in financial donations and 115,533 donors using the platform. The platform aims to create a unified database for beneficiaries, accelerate the study of cases, and deliver aid smoothly. It currently has 30 charitable associations, 63 teams, and 3 endowment institutions registered, with 597 initiatives and 181 programmes available for donations.

This platform is crucial for charitable associations and volunteer teams in Oman, as it allows for easy access to donations and assistance for those in need. It aligns with the goals of the “Oman 2040” vision, specifically focusing on social welfare and protection. The platform offers four types of donations, including donations according to initiatives, associations or teams, specific cases, and in-kind donations. This wide range of options ensures that donors can choose where their donations go and make a real impact on those in need.

One of the key features of the ‘Jood’ platform is the ability to donate electronically through secure payment channels. This modern approach to charitable giving leverages information and communications technology to serve charitable associations and teams effectively. It also allows donors to access all charitable associations and volunteer teams in Oman through a single platform, eliminating the need to visit each organization separately. This convenience encourages more people to donate and support those in need.

The success of the ‘Jood’ platform is evident in the large number of donations received and donors registered since its activation. The platform has quickly become a trusted and reliable source for charitable giving in Muscat, providing a seamless process for donating and assisting those in need. With a wide range of initiatives and programmes available for donations, donors can choose causes that align with their values and make a meaningful impact on the community.

As part of the ‘Jood’ platform’s mission to support charitable associations and volunteer teams, it offers various options for donors to contribute, including general donations, orphan sponsorship, school meals, Eid clothing, ongoing charity, sacrifices, zakat, housing assistance, and relief and disaster relief. This diverse array of donation opportunities ensures that donors can find causes that resonate with them and make a positive impact on the lives of others. By making charitable giving more accessible and convenient, the platform aims to create a culture of giving and compassion in Oman.

In conclusion, the ‘Jood’ digital platform for charitable donations in Muscat has been a significant success, with a large number of donations received and donors registered since its activation. The platform plays a vital role in supporting charitable associations and volunteer teams in Oman, aligning with the goals of the “Oman 2040” vision. By providing a convenient and secure way for donors to contribute, the platform is making a real difference in the lives of those in need. With a wide range of donation options available, donors can choose causes that resonate with them and have a meaningful impact on their community.
