The activities planned for September include identifying priority locations, executing cleanliness initiatives, organizing workshops, and activating participation from sports and volunteer teams. October will focus on completing targeted areas, addressing observations, documenting results, and preparing a final report.
Field Efforts and Statistical Insights
Salem bin Said Al Rashdi, a health technician from the Municipality of North Sharqiyah, highlighted some of the field efforts undertaken by the department concerning cleanliness and the removal of visual pollution and construction debris. He indicated that a recent cleanup campaign in September 2024 targeted the areas of Al Fath, Al Qabil, Al Aineen, and Al Mudhaibi, resulting in a total of 79 shipments transported, including 17 shipments of waste and 62 shipments of construction debris and visual pollution.
Moreover, the September operations included opening 58 roads, cleaning 22 water sites, and transporting waste from five crossings, along with utilizing 40 shipments of sand and cleaning 208 meters of roads while transporting 30 shipments of compressed waste. In July, significant achievements were made in Al Zahib, Al Mudhaibi, and Al Rida, with a total of 420 tons transported, including 207 tons from Al Zahib, 128 tons from Al Mudhaibi, and 85 tons from Al Rida.
