Several UAE residents have recently shared their complaints after a Sharjah couple camped out in a Dubai immigration firm’s office for four days due to unfulfilled promises. Khaleej Times received multiple complaints from clients alleging fraud by the Al Rigga, Deira-based company. Individuals from various countries shared stories of shattered immigration dreams after paying significant sums to the firm, with many requesting anonymity for fear of retaliation.
In a recent report, a couple highlighted how the firm failed to secure their permanent residency in Canada despite upfront payments of CAD40,000 over three years. An Indian woman in Abu Dhabi resorted to camping out in the office during Ramadan this year after her refund requests were ignored. Mudassir Ahmed, an Indian national, paid Dh40,000 but never received promised employment in Canada, considering legal action but hesitating due to legal costs.
Christofer Pereira from Doha shared how he paid Dh65,000 to the company but only received a fraction back after requesting a refund. Stories of broken promises and legal struggles have emerged from various clients across the UAE. Asif Baig paid Dh60,000 and was promised a refund in six instalments but never received any payments. A Pakistani couple who paid Dh40,000 has also taken legal action against the company.
ARM from Karachi, Pakistan, expressed concern over being in the middle of an immigration program with the company after paying CAD20,000. Hassan Iqbal accused the company of issuing fake documents and wasting two years of his life, preventing him from settling abroad with his family. The firm’s practices have raised concerns among other clients such as Siraj Patel, Narinder Singh, and Afsar Agha, who paid Dh57,000 and are still waiting for refunds.
As more clients come forward with complaints, the list continues to grow, leading to legal actions being pursued by many in hopes of recovering their money. The company’s pattern of deception has impacted multiple individuals from different nationalities, highlighting the need for transparency and accountability in immigration services in the UAE. The stories shared by these clients serve as a warning to others seeking immigration assistance to be vigilant and conduct thorough research before engaging with any firm to avoid falling victim to potential fraud.
