The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Doha, Qatar recently concluded an induction program for 410 new teachers who have been recruited to work in government schools. The program aimed to prepare these new teachers for their roles in the education system by introducing them to various aspects of the teaching profession, including the systems, regulations, policies, and laws in force in government schools. The program also focused on enhancing the capabilities and skills of the new teachers through training workshops in areas such as planning, modern teaching strategies, and the use of education assisting technologies.

The “Tamkeen” program, which began on August 21, included workshops to help new teachers develop effective study plans and improve their educational methods. The program also provided an introduction to the organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, as well as an overview of the job system, code of conduct, policies, and work regulations. The goal was to ensure that the new teachers were well-prepared to integrate into the educational environment and contribute positively to the education system.

At the conclusion of the program, Director of the Training and Development Center at the Ministry, Iman Al Mohannadi, welcomed the new teachers and wished them success in their professional careers. She emphasized the importance of the new teachers in enhancing and improving the education system and reaffirmed the center’s commitment to providing them with the competencies they need. The training and empowerment of new teachers will continue through various cadres within the ministry and schools, with a focus on enhancing their capabilities in the field of teaching.

Moving forward, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education will continue to support the new teachers through their first year of work in government schools, as well as through a training path designed by the Training and Development Center. The goal is to ensure that the new teachers are well-equipped to meet the demands of the teaching profession and contribute positively to the education system in Qatar. By providing ongoing training and support, the ministry aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among its teaching staff.

In conclusion, the induction program for new teachers in Qatar demonstrates the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s commitment to preparing and supporting educators in the teaching profession. By providing new teachers with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to succeed, the ministry is investing in the future of education in Qatar. Through programs like “Tamkeen,” the ministry aims to enhance the capabilities of its teaching staff and improve the outcomes of the education system as a whole. With ongoing training and support, the new teachers are well-positioned to make a positive impact in government schools and contribute to the growth and development of Qatar’s education system.
