In Dubai, residents and visitors can now enjoy clear visibility and safe pathways when cycling or driving on e-scooters in the evening, thanks to the completion of maintenance on 2,173 lighting units by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The lighting units are spread across four popular cycling and e-scooter tracks in Dubai, including Al Qudra, Jumeirah, Nad Al Sheba, and Mirdif & Mushrif tracks. The RTA’s initiative aims to provide necessary facilities and infrastructure to ensure the public can enjoy their hobbies and sports on these tracks, according to Abdullah Lootah, the Director of Roads and Facilities Maintenance at the Traffic and Roads Agency, RTA.

Maintenance activities are not just based on reports from field inspectors, but also include feedback received through RTA’s Call Centre and Madinat service within RTA App, as well as reports submitted by partners from government entities. Lootah commended the efforts of community members and RTA’s partners in maintaining the lighting units on cycling and e-scooter tracks. He further explained that the maintenance is conducted according to annually scheduled plans, involving preventive maintenance to check the operational status of lighting poles, cleaning, lubricating, and ensuring the soundness of electrical connections, as well as corrective maintenance in case of any malfunction in the lighting network.

It is crucial for residents and visitors in Dubai to stay updated with the latest news and developments in the city. Following KT on WhatsApp Channels can help individuals to be informed about relevant updates and announcements. By staying connected through WhatsApp, people can ensure that they are aware of any changes in public services, facilities, and infrastructure, including maintenance activities on cycling and e-scooter tracks. This proactive approach can enhance the overall experience of enjoying recreational activities in Dubai, especially in the evening hours when proper lighting becomes essential for safety and visibility.

The RTA’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure for recreational activities like cycling and e-scooter riding reflects their dedication to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for the public. By ensuring that all lighting units on the tracks are functioning optimally, the RTA is demonstrating its proactive approach to addressing the needs of residents and visitors in Dubai. The collaborative efforts of community members, RTA’s partners, and government entities play a crucial role in supporting these maintenance activities and ensuring that the city’s recreational facilities are well-maintained and accessible for everyone to enjoy.

In conclusion, the completion of maintenance on 2,173 lighting units on cycling and e-scooter tracks in Dubai is a significant step towards providing clear visibility and safe pathways for residents and visitors indulging in recreational activities. The RTA’s proactive approach to maintenance, feedback mechanisms, and collaborative efforts with community members and partners are commendable in ensuring the upkeep of infrastructure. Staying connected through WhatsApp Channels can help individuals stay informed about the latest developments in the city and make the most of recreational opportunities, especially in the evening hours. With a focus on safety, accessibility, and enjoyment, Dubai continues to prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of its residents and visitors.
