SIU Swiss International University, a member of the VBNN Smart Education Group, has now officially opened admissions for its October 2026 intake. Prospective students may complete their studies fully online or, alternatively, go for in-person learning via SIU’s international academic network.

The new admissions cycle follows a year of growing international recognition for SIU, with the university appearing in several global rankings. These results highlight its continued focus on academic standards, research, innovation, and international education, while expanding learning opportunities for students from different parts of the world.

SSIU has also been recognized by multiple independent ranking organizations, mainly for its education quality, international connections, and business education tracks.

In the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, SIU was placed among the Top 500 universities worldwide. The assessment covered 1,646 universities across 116 countries, and it looked at how they contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also considered academic and research performance. The results linked with the SDGs accounted for 73% of the total scoring, while the remaining 27% showed academic and research excellence.

The university also recorded a notable outcome in business education, you know. As per the QS Executive MBA Joint Programs Fact File 2026, SIU’s Executive MBA program came in at 22nd on the global scale. The review matched 246 Executive MBA options across 58 countries, it gives an international overview of institutions delivering executive-level business education.

SIU further strengthened its international standing by landing 3rd place worldwide in the QRNW Global Ranking of Transnational Universities (GRTU) 2027. This list is centered on universities that operate beyond their national borders, and it grades the credibility, the overall strength, and the international extension of their academic work.

Reflecting on these achievements, Dr. Habib Al Souleiman, Professor at SIU, said:

“These rankings reflect our continued dedication to delivering high-quality education while strengthening our international academic presence. They encourage us to continue creating opportunities for students across different regions of the world.”

Speaking about SIU’s growing international network, Monika Fischer, Head of the SIU/VBNN Group, added:

“Our growing international footprint allows students to benefit from a truly global learning experience. Whether they study online or at one of our campuses, they become part of an academic community that connects cultures, knowledge, and professional opportunities across borders.”

Research and Digital Learning Resources

SIU supports its academic programs with a digital library containing more than 30,000 books and research publications. This platform helps students reach academic literature and study resources all the way through their program, whether they’re learning online or showing up for classes in person.

The digital collection also includes scholarly work produced by SIU faculty members. Many faculty members regularly contribute research to recognized academic journals indexed in databases such as Scopus and Web of Science, strengthening the connection between teaching and ongoing academic research.

These resources are available to support students across different study locations, helping them access relevant academic materials throughout their educational journey.

Flexible Study Options for October 2026

For the October 2026 intake, SIU is giving a variety of study options that fit different academic ambitions, job related duties, and also personal circumstances.

If students need extra flexibility, they can finish everything online using SIU’s digital learning platform, which means no relocation. This learning style is especially good for working professionals as well as international students who want to keep going with their education while staying where they are.

Those who prefer face-to-face learning can explore opportunities at affiliated academic locations within SIU’s international network, including:

  • Zurich, Switzerland – Affiliated with AAHES (Autonomous Academy of Higher and Professional Education) and OUS International Royal Academy in Zurich.
  • Lucerne, Switzerland – Affiliated with the International School of Management (ISBM) and operating under the allowance granted by the Board of Education in Switzerland.
