Amir, Turkish President co-chair the 10th meeting of the Qatar-Turkey High Strategic Committee.

The 10th session of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee was co-chaired by the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Turkiye HE Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara. President Erdogan welcomed HH the Amir and expressed his appreciation for Qatar’s efforts on diplomatic and humanitarian fronts. In return, HH the Amir thanked President Erdogan for the warm reception and emphasized the growing strategic partnership between Qatar and Turkiye. The meeting discussed various sectors of cooperation, including economy, trade, investment, energy, industry, and regional and international developments.

The Qatari delegation included the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, along with other senior officials. The Turkish side was represented by key ministers from various departments, such as foreign affairs, defense, trade, industry, technology, transport, finance, and energy. A bilateral meeting was held between HH the Amir and President Erdogan to discuss mutual interests, followed by a dinner banquet hosted by President Erdogan in honor of the Qatari delegation.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing strategic cooperation between Qatar and Turkiye, with a focus on mutual progress, advancement, and prosperity. They also exchanged views on regional developments, particularly the situations in Gaza, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Lebanon. The joint Supreme Strategic Committee serves as a platform for strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation between the two countries.

The official visit of HH the Amir to Turkiye was marked by an official welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Complex, which included a 21-gun salute in honor of His Highness. This visit reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to further deepening its strategic partnership with Turkiye and exploring opportunities for collaboration in key sectors. Both leaders emphasized the need for closer cooperation in addressing regional challenges and promoting peace and stability in the region.

Overall, the 10th session of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee highlighted the strong and enduring partnership between Qatar and Turkiye. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation across various sectors, addressing regional challenges, and working towards shared goals of progress and prosperity. Both countries reiterated their commitment to strengthening strategic relations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in the future. HH the Amir’s visit underscored the importance of cooperation between Qatar and Turkiye in addressing regional challenges and promoting stability in the Middle East.
