The Al Wakrah team emerged victorious in a thrilling Qatar Cup final against Al Rayyan, with substitute Nasser Saleh Alyazidi scoring the winning goal in the 80th minute. This victory marked Al Wakrah’s first Qatar Cup title since the tournament was renamed in the 2013-2014 season. The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams showcasing their attacking prowess with seven shots on target each. Achraf Bencharki’s powerful shot was saved by Al Wakrah goalkeeper Mohammed Ahmed Albakri, while Alyazidi made an immediate impact after coming off the bench by scoring the winning goal with a precise strike from close range.

Despite Al Rayyan’s persistent efforts to equalize, Al Wakrah’s defense held firm to secure the victory and lift the prestigious Qatar Cup trophy.
