The Applied Science University in Bahrain is offering a BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering (Dual Award) programme that provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the field of mechanical engineering in Bahrain and the Gulf region. This dual-award degree program allows students to earn academic qualifications from both ASU and London South Bank University, enhancing their technical skills and increasing their opportunities in the job market post-graduation.

Mechanical engineers play a crucial role in various industries in Bahrain and the Gulf, including energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, and automotive sectors. With significant investments in infrastructure and renewable energy, Bahrain offers a favorable working environment for mechanical engineers. Moreover, major construction projects in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE provide numerous opportunities for mechanical engineers, making it a growing and important field in the region.

The BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering (Dual Award) programme at ASU is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of theoretical aspects and practical skills in mechanical engineering. The program includes theoretical education, practical training, laboratory work, individual and group projects, and industrial training periods to help students apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. Additionally, students are encouraged to think innovatively and critically through classwork and design projects, preparing them to tackle complex engineering problems in the field.

The academic staff at ASU have international education and work experience, linking theory to practice in the classroom. The partnership with London South Bank University allows students to visit London and participate in the Summer School programme annually. Graduates of the BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering (Dual Award) programme at ASU are highly valued by companies in the region for their deep understanding of theoretical concepts, practical skills, and ability to adapt to new challenges in mechanical engineering.

Enrolling in the BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering (Dual Award) programme at ASU prepares students for a promising career in mechanical engineering in Bahrain and the Gulf region. With the demand for mechanical engineers expected to continue growing due to technological advancements and economic growth, graduates of this program can look forward to a wide range of employment opportunities in the field. Whether students are interested in working in industry, pursuing academic research, or exploring engineering management, ASU equips them with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve their career goals after graduation.
