University Experience Enriched at AUM’s Club Connect Event
The American University of the Middle East (AUM) recently hosted a two-day event called Club Connect, aimed at enhancing the university experience for its students. The event featured various student clubs, encouraging participation in extracurricular activities alongside academic pursuits. With a total attendance exceeding 1,000 participants and around 650 requests for membership across different fields, Club Connect aimed to integrate students more fully into campus life.
Engaging Activities Foster Community and Skill Development
Club Connect was part of AUM’s commitment to provide a holistic university experience. It featured interactive activities that allowed students to explore their interests while learning about available opportunities on campus. This initiative helps to develop their creative and personal skills while fostering social connections based on mutual interests. By participating in clubs, students can take on leadership roles and engage in organizing events, contributing to their growth and development in both academic and extracurricular realms.
Interactive Tests and Clubs to Explore Diverse Interests
To enhance the discovery experience, Club Connect included a variety of interactive tests, such as Club Match – 30 Seconds, which helped students quickly identify clubs aligned with their interests. These enjoyable activities offered practical experiences that blend entertainment with exposure to a diverse range of campus activities, encouraging proactive participation and willingness to try new experiences.
Clubs Open New Avenues for Learning and Creativity
The Engineering and Technology College showcased several clubs, including the Artificial Minds Club, Robotics Club, Builders of the Future Club, Green Energy Club, Machine Masters Club, and Mixed Reality Club. Members presented project models and technical activities while highlighting their innovative experiences. Students were encouraged to ask questions to understand the operational nature of these clubs.
In addition to the engineering sector, the Business Administration College presented clubs specializing in marketing, finance, human resources, accounting, information systems management, and entrepreneurship. Their focus revolved around business-related topics, problem-solving, and leadership, alongside sharing personal experiences to inspire new participants.
The Liberal Arts Department also participated through clubs dedicated to music, art, photography, reading, and drama. They showcased creative works and presentations that reflected a variety of talents and interests, allowing students to familiarize themselves with artistic and cultural opportunities available within the university.
Active Participation Through Live Shows and Competitions
In addition to information booths, the Club Connect event featured a central stage for diverse activities such as live musical performances by club members, sports competitions involving students and the audience, and demonstrations that highlighted photography and art clubs. Interactive challenges from the Drama Club also contributed to the dynamic atmosphere of the event.
Student Feedback Reflects Positive Impact of Club Connect

The event also promotes networking and exploration of interests that facilitate the integration of students into the university community from the outset of their academic journey.
Looking forward, AUM aims to continue enriching the university experience by organizing additional events that emphasize student involvement and promote personal and academic growth. Attendees can expect more opportunities to explore clubs and activities throughout the academic year, further cultivating a vibrant campus atmosphere.
