The upcoming parliamentary session in Bahrain will focus on the reports of two investigative committees – the “Bahrainization” committee and the committee on employment contracts. These committees have completed their reports and will be presenting their findings and recommendations for discussion by Members of Parliament. The Bahrainization committee has looked into the process of replacing expatriates with citizens, identifying positions held by expatriates in both public and private sectors, and understanding the steps involved in the Bahrainization process. They have also worked on determining the needs of the labor market and guiding students on required specializations.

On the other hand, the employment contracts committee has examined the procedures followed by various government entities in the procurement of manpower and contracts for different types of services. They have discussed the implementation of employment requirements, including qualifications and Bahrainization ratios in companies that have been awarded such contracts. The committee also reviewed the need for government entities to issue tenders for services and ensure that suppliers comply with the employment of Bahraini citizens in relevant positions.

Additionally, the employment contracts committee has audited the financial allocations for manpower procurement and services provision, ensuring that budgetary provisions are in place for these contracts. Both committees have conducted field visits, reviewed procedures, and worked closely with government entities to gather necessary information. By presenting their reports in the upcoming parliamentary session, these committees aim to open the floor for discussion and decision-making on issues related to Bahrainization and employment contracts.

The discussions in the parliamentary session will provide an opportunity for MPs to explore ways to improve Bahrainization processes, enhance job opportunities for citizens, and promote the employment of Bahraini nationals in various sectors. With a focus on understanding the needs of the labor market and ensuring compliance with employment regulations, the committees’ reports will play a crucial role in shaping future policies and strategies related to expatriate employment and procurement of services.

The committees’ efforts in conducting thorough reviews, audits, and field visits demonstrate a commitment to addressing key issues related to employment and workforce management in Bahrain. By presenting their findings and recommendations to the Council of Representatives, the committees are seeking to contribute to the development of effective strategies that will benefit both citizens and the national economy. The upcoming parliamentary session will serve as a platform for meaningful discussions and decision-making on important matters related to Bahrainization and employment contracts.

In conclusion, the reports of the Bahrainization committee and the committee on employment contracts will be central to discussions in the upcoming parliamentary session, highlighting key findings and recommendations for improving employment practices in Bahrain. With a focus on promoting job opportunities for citizens, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the overall workforce management system, these committees play a crucial role in shaping the future of labor market policies in the country. As MPs engage in discussions and decision-making based on these reports, they have the opportunity to drive positive changes that will benefit both the workforce and the national economy in Bahrain.
