Residents in Sharjah have a new convenient way to pay their utility bills through the Digital Sharjah platform, as announced by authorities on Sunday. The updated service now offers a new and improved user interface designed to enhance the overall user experience. Customers of the Sharjah Electricity Water & Gas Authority (Sewa) can easily view the amounts due on their accounts, whether they are linked to their Emirates ID or added manually. Customers can also access current and previous bills as PDF documents, with up to 10 previous bills available, and can easily lodge complaints or objections regarding those bills.

The initiative by the Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) reflects the department’s commitment to continuously enhancing platform services to ensure efficient and prompt service delivery. Through ongoing improvements, SDD aims to enhance the user experience and provide added value and convenience with each update. Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah Digital Department, highlighted the department’s dedication to providing comprehensive services through its digital platform, designed to meet user needs while ensuring high efficiency. The goal is to create a distinguished, convenient, and reliable digital experience for the community.

The development of the Sewa bill payment service was driven by user suggestions and feedback collected through various communication channels. The department also shares instructional videos in both Arabic and English on its social media accounts to guide users on using the platform’s services. SDD offers over 60 services from 19 government and private entities, covering essential sectors in Sharjah. Users have the option to choose from a variety of payment channels, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, direct debit cards, credit cards, and the Tahseel Digital Payment System. The availability of the platform’s mobile application on both iOS and Android devices provides users with flexibility and security when making transactions.

In conclusion, the Digital Sharjah platform provides residents in Sharjah with a convenient and efficient way to pay their utility bills. With an enhanced user interface and a focus on continuous improvement, the platform aims to provide a seamless and convenient digital experience for users. By incorporating user feedback and offering a wide range of payment options, the platform ensures accessibility and ease of use for customers. The Sharjah Digital Department’s commitment to providing comprehensive services and ensuring high efficiency demonstrates its dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the community. With ongoing enhancements and a commitment to user satisfaction, the Digital Sharjah platform continues to redefine the digital experience for residents in Sharjah.
