The Indian cricket team received a hero’s welcome in Delhi after winning the T20 World Cup in Barbados. Fans gathered outside the Indira Gandhi International Airport to congratulate their favourite players and wave the national flag. Hundreds of supporters showed up early in the morning to express their excitement and cheer for the victorious team. The team is scheduled to leave for Mumbai later in the day, where they will take part in an open bus road show and a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium.

One fan, Piyush Arora, mentioned that they arrived at the airport at 3 am because of their excitement. Another fan, Viren, shared his love for Jasprit Bumrah and the Indian cricket team, stating that he had been waiting since 5:30 am to see them. Supporters like Shubham showcased their passion by drawing sketches of players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to celebrate their victory. The joy and enthusiasm of the fans were evident as they waited eagerly to greet their cricketing heroes.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the World Cup-winning team, extended a special invitation to Indian fans to join the victory parade at Marine Drive and the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Men in Blue clinched their second ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title by defeating South Africa in the final. Following their triumph, the team will be celebrating with an open-top bus ride in Mumbai from 5:00 pm onwards. The celebrations will include a parade at Marine Drive and an event at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
