Air Chateau International, a UAE-based company, is set to revolutionize inter-emirate travel with a private helicopter service that will make it easier for passengers to commute between Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah in just under 30 minutes. The company plans to construct at least six new heliports across various emirates in the UAE, with work starting on 6-8 selected locations by the end of the year. The aim is to connect all emirates, including Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Abu Dhabi, as well as popular destinations like Hatta.
Currently, the firm operates inter-emirate flights, but the locations are limited to areas with existing helipads. Over the next few years, the number of locations will be increased to 30 to make the service more accessible to both residents and tourists. There is significant interest in Hatta, and Air Chateau is collaborating with hospitality companies to enhance the overall tourism experience. The heliports will be multifunctional and can also be used as vertiports for eVTOL aircraft, supporting the growth of the air ecosystem.
Last year, Air Chateau signed an agreement with Archer Aviation to purchase up to 100 of their eVTOL aircraft, marking a significant step towards launching electric air taxi services in the UAE. The company aims to provide ultra-premium last-mile connectivity and has observed a growing demand for their services. By strategically locating heliports in densely populated areas, they aim to cater to a larger audience while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
To enhance the overall experience, Air Chateau plans to create bespoke packages in collaboration with hospitality partners. Currently, they offer luxury helicopter services, including exclusive aerial tour packages of Dubai. While the pricing details have not been disclosed, the company assures that it will be competitive within the market. For reference, a private charter helicopter from Dubai to Nurai Island in Abu Dhabi costs approximately Dh7,000 for 5 passengers.
Air Chateau’s Dubai Helipark, situated near Al Maktoum airport in Dubai World Central, is the largest facility of its kind in the country and can accommodate up to eight helicopters. With a focus on providing seamless inter-emirate travel options and enhancing the overall tourism experience in the UAE, Air Chateau International is set to reshape the landscape of private helicopter services in the region.
