Real Madrid celebrated their 36th La Liga title triumph with their fans at the traditional location outside the city’s Cibeles palace. However, the focus remained on the upcoming Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on June 1. The players expressed their hopes of returning to celebrate again after the final. Madrid sealed their triumph with four games to spare, reclaiming the title from rivals Barcelona. They have been dominant in La Liga this season, losing only one match and scoring more goals and conceding fewer than any other team in the division.

The celebrations began early with RFEF president Pedro Rocha delivering the league trophy to Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground. Captain Nacho Fernandez lifted the trophy, marking the start of a day filled with celebrations. The team made stops at various locations, including the Madrid regional government’s headquarters, where they presented the trophy to president Isabel Diaz Ayuso. Club chief Florentino Perez praised the team for overcoming adversity and achieving the impossible. He thanked the players for their hunger and determination, emphasizing their next target of winning the 15th Champions League title.

At the balcony, players addressed fans who chanted encouraging messages, including references to potential Ballon d’Or winners and calls for certain players to stay at the club. Striker Joselu, who played a crucial role in the Champions League semi-final against Bayern, received special recognition from the fans. The team presented the trophy at the Madrid town hall, where they were welcomed by Atletico Madrid supporter and mayor Jose Luis Martinez Almeida. The final stop was Plaza Cibeles, where thousands of fans awaited the team’s arrival on an open-top bus.

The fans and players are already dreaming of winning the Champions League, with forward Vinicius Junior expressing gratitude for the support and energy from the fans. Despite the celebrations, coach Carlo Ancelotti had a more urgent ambition of dancing with midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. The French midfielder obliged, leading to a conga line with the entire squad as they celebrated under the Madrid sun.

Overall, the celebrations highlighted Real Madrid’s hunger for success and their determination to achieve more trophies. The team’s dominant performance in La Liga this season, along with their focus on the upcoming Champions League final, showcases their relentless pursuit of excellence. The players, fans, and club officials alike expressed their gratitude and excitement for the future, emphasizing the unity and strength of the Real Madrid family. As they continue their journey towards more silverware, the historic club remains a formidable force in European football, guided by a tradition of success and passion for the game.
