The Dubai AI Campus has been officially launched at the Dubai International Financial Centre, as part of Dubai’s ambitious plan to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence applications. In a statement, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, highlighted the importance of this initiative in fostering the growth of AI startups. The campus offers access to supercomputers for training AI algorithms and aims to create a supportive legislative environment for next-generation AI companies. With plans to attract over 500 companies and create more than 3,000 job opportunities, the campus is set to expand to over 100,000 square feet by 2028.

Aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the Dubai AI Campus seeks to generate Dh100 billion annually from digital transformation projects to Dubai’s economy over the next decade. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the establishment of global technological partnerships with leading companies in the sector to drive innovation and sustainable economic growth. He noted that Dubai is entering a “new era” of technology-driven development, guided by the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The campus is expected to play a significant role in advancing Dubai’s position as a global hub for AI and technology.

The launch of the Dubai AI Campus underscores Dubai’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technological innovation and fostering a supportive ecosystem for AI startups. With a focus on providing the necessary resources and support for next-generation AI companies, the campus aims to attract a diverse range of businesses and create employment opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships, Dubai aims to drive economic growth and position itself as a leader in the global AI landscape.

The Dubai AI Campus is poised to become a key hub for AI research, development, and innovation, offering startups access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and resources. By providing a supportive legislative environment and facilitating collaboration with leading companies in the sector, the campus aims to accelerate the growth of the AI ecosystem in Dubai. With plans to expand its facilities and activities in the coming years, the campus is expected to play a pivotal role in driving technological advancement and economic development in the region.

As part of Dubai’s overarching strategy to embrace digital transformation and drive economic growth through technology, the Dubai AI Campus represents a major milestone in the city’s innovation journey.
