Residents and families can enjoy artificial rain at Zawaya Walk in Sharjah, with plans to make the hourly downpours cooler. Obaid Al Tunaiji, the mastermind behind this viral city attraction, has vowed to use special devices to lower the water temperature and enhance the experience for visitors. The water used for the artificial rains is clean and sterilized, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

The palm tree-lined Zawaya Walk has become a popular hangout spot for residents, offering free artificial rain shows throughout the summer. Visitors can experience thunder-like sound effects and cooling downpours approximately every hour from 9am to 12pm and 5pm to 11pm. In addition to the rain shows, the shopping destination features a variety of retail outlets, shops, restaurants, and cafes, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

The idea for the rain shows at Zawaya Walk originated from a desire to attract visitors during the summer months, when the visitor turnout was low due to extreme heat. To create a cooler atmosphere, over 300 trees have been planted at the site, providing shade and reducing the heat. The developers also considered misting fans but ultimately decided on artificial rains as they believed it would cool the atmosphere without making it too humid for visitors.

As the summer season peaks in the UAE, temperatures soar above 50ºC, leading most establishments to move activities indoors. However, Zawaya Walk is a unique outdoor destination that allows visitors to enjoy the sun while staying cool. The artificial rains, along with the lush green surroundings and amenities, make it a popular choice for families and residents looking to beat the heat and have a refreshing outdoor experience.

The success of the rain shows at Zawaya Walk has sparked interest and excitement among visitors, who appreciate the effort to create a unique and enjoyable experience. With plans to make the downpours even cooler and more refreshing, residents and families can look forward to an enhanced visit to this popular destination. As the word spreads about the ‘rain street’ in Sharjah, more people are expected to flock to Zawaya Walk to enjoy the free shows and explore the shopping and dining options available.

Overall, Zawaya Walk in Sharjah has become a must-visit destination for those looking to escape the heat and enjoy a fun and unique experience outdoors. The combination of artificial rain shows, lush greenery, and a variety of attractions make it a popular hangout spot for residents and families. With continual efforts to improve the visitor experience, Zawaya Walk is set to become an even more popular and talked-about destination in Sharjah.
