Visit Qatar has recently launched its activations in Berlin and Munich as part of its partnership with UEFA European Football Championship 2024. The aim of this partnership is to introduce Qatar’s cultural landmarks and luxury amenities to a wider audience. Qatar Tourism Chairman and Visit Qatar Board of Directors Chairman, H E Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, highlighted that this collaboration is part of Qatar’s efforts to promote cultural exchange and showcase its diverse offerings. Both Qatar Tourism and UEFA share a commitment to breaking cultural barriers through the universal language of sports, connecting people from around the world and celebrating cultural diversity.

In line with their goal of solidifying Qatar’s position as a global sports destination, Visit Qatar’s CEO, Eng Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi, emphasized the country’s successful track record of hosting and supporting major sporting events. Through the partnership with UEFA, Visit Qatar aims to bridge cultures and welcome the global community to experience Qatar’s unique blend of tradition and modernity. The activations that Visit Qatar has launched aim to offer fans a unique experience-led version of Qatar, with a modern beach club setting where visitors can enjoy local delights like Qahwa (Arabian coffee), Karak (milk tea) and sweet treats, along with engaging in activities like footvolley and trying on Qatari bisht.

One of the activations launched by Visit Qatar includes ‘The Doha Club’, which can be found at UEFA EURO 2024 FanZones in Berlin and Munich throughout the tournament. This activation is designed to give fans a taste of Qatar’s hospitality and cultural offerings. Another activation is a campaign featuring the UEFA EURO 2024 trophy to promote the ‘Stopover in Qatar’ initiative, targeting key European markets such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France. Additionally, Visit Qatar is the Presenting Partner of EURO 2024 Fantasy Football, offering participants a chance to win prizes and tickets to matches.

Qatar has established itself as a hub for international sports tournaments, having successfully hosted events such as the FIFA World Cup 2022, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023. The country is also preparing to host the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2030 Asian Games, showcasing its state-of-the-art infrastructure, organizational capabilities, and commitment to excellence in sports. By partnering with UEFA and participating in events like the UEFA European Football Championship 2024, Visit Qatar is reinforcing its position as a global sports destination and inviting the world to experience Qatar’s rich culture and hospitality.

In conclusion, the partnership between Visit Qatar and UEFA for the UEFA European Football Championship 2024 has enabled Qatar to showcase its cultural landmarks and luxury amenities to a broader audience. Through activations in Berlin and Munich, Visit Qatar is providing fans with a unique experience that blends tradition and modernity, while promoting cultural exchange and celebrating diversity. With Qatar’s successful track record of hosting major sporting events and its commitment to excellence in sports, the country is solidifying its position as a global sports destination. By participating in events like the UEFA EURO 2024, Visit Qatar is not only promoting Qatar as a sports hub but also bridging cultures and fostering connections through the universal language of sports.
