The UAE residents are anticipating a fairer and more transparent system after the country granted the first license to a lottery operator on Sunday. This has renewed the enthusiasm of many individuals to continue participating in such activities. Freilyn Angob, a Filipina expat, who won Dh25,000 through the Emirates Draw last year, expressed her willingness to continue buying tickets as long as the games are legitimate and carefully monitored.

The newly licensed operator, known as The Game LLC, will operate under the name ‘UAE Lottery’ and promises to offer a wide range of lottery and gaming products that cater to the diverse interests and financial preferences of players. While the specific nature of the games is yet to be revealed, the company’s website emphasizes their focus on combining cutting-edge technology with culturally relevant gaming products. This move is expected to provide a safer and more reliable alternative to unlicensed lottery platforms.

Aisha Ahmed, a Kenyan expat, welcomed the news of an official lottery operator, highlighting the importance of having a reliable alternative to unlicensed lottery platforms. She mentioned being almost scammed before and is now considering trying her luck with the official lottery. The official first lottery operator will particularly benefit those who have been awaiting the return of popular lottery platforms like Mahzooz and Emirates Draw, which had previously suspended their activities.

Raj Kumar, an Indian expat, expressed his eagerness for the new official lottery operator to commence operations as it would offer him an alternative to participate in lottery activities. He had been actively participating in Mahzooz and Emirates Draw and looks forward to trying his luck with the new operator. Similarly, Alice, a Cameroonian expat, who had stopped participating in lotteries due to issues with user interface and customer service, mentioned she would reconsider participating once the new platform is operational.

The announcement of the UAE’s first licensed lottery operator is a step towards regulating the commercial gaming industry in the country. Through the establishment of a robust regulatory framework, the GCGRA aims to protect consumers, ensure fairness, and increase transparency in all gaming activities, including lotteries. This move is expected to provide residents with a safer and more regulated environment to engage in lottery games while also preventing potential scams and frauds in the industry. As the new official lottery operator begins its operations, many residents are looking forward to a more organized and trustworthy gaming experience.
