The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE raised red and yellow alerts for fog in some parts of the country on Sunday, warning of reduced visibility in the early morning hours. The NCM stated that there was a chance of fog formation and a deterioration in horizontal visibility until 9am on Sunday, especially in coastal and internal areas. The public was advised to stay updated on the latest weather news through various channels.

The weather is expected to be clear to partially cloudy, with thick clouds forming in the afternoon in some internal and southern parts of the country, potentially accompanied by rain. Temperatures are forecasted to reach a high of 41℃ in Abu Dhabi and 40℃ in Dubai, with humidity levels ranging from 25 to 80 per cent. Winds will be light to moderate, but may occasionally become active to strong, reaching speeds of up to 45kmph.

In terms of marine conditions, waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to be light to moderate. It is important for residents and visitors in the UAE to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions when venturing out, especially during foggy conditions. By following safety guidelines and staying aware of the latest weather forecasts, individuals can ensure their well-being and safety in challenging weather conditions.

Foggy conditions can pose challenges for drivers and pedestrians, as reduced visibility can increase the risk of accidents. It is crucial for individuals to drive carefully and use headlights and fog lights when necessary to improve visibility on the roads. Pedestrians should also exercise caution when crossing streets and be mindful of oncoming traffic, especially during foggy conditions in the early morning.

As temperatures continue to rise, it is important for residents to stay hydrated, seek shade when outdoors, and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun to prevent heat-related illnesses. By staying informed about weather updates and following safety precautions, individuals can navigate through varying weather conditions and ensure their well-being in the UAE. The NCM plays a vital role in monitoring and predicting weather patterns, providing valuable information to help the public prepare and stay safe during changing weather conditions.
